Residential Care Centre for Special Friends

Sadhana Village has been popularly recognized as an innovative Centre for residential care of adults with mental disabilities. We've been inspired by the Camphill movement, especially Camphill Village, Copake (USA). We practise social therapy for our residents whom we affectionately call Special Friends, SF for short. There are 32 SFs living in four independent houses. There are house leaders, coworkers and volunteers in each of these houses living with them. The SFs enjoy a good quality of life and live with freedom, dignity, understanding and love. They have an easy structured life at the Centre with creative occupations, yoga and delightful cultural activities.
